How does target-file-size compression work?
The tool divides your target size by the track’s duration to work out the bitrate needed, then encodes at the closest standard MP3 bitrate to that number.
Will this reduce audio quality?
Lowering the bitrate does trade off some quality for a smaller file, same as any MP3 encoder — pick a higher bitrate if quality matters more than size.
