It is real — the tool streams genuine data to and from our edge network and measures the actual time it takes, the same way any speed test works.
Why might results differ from other speed test tools?
Every speed test measures against a different server and network path. Results can vary with your device, Wi-Fi vs. wired connection, other traffic on your network, and which edge location you are routed to.
Does this use a lot of data?
Yes — like any real speed test, it transfers a meaningful amount of data during the download and upload phases to get an accurate reading. Avoid running it on a limited mobile data plan.
